EcoVeil is an all-natural, biodegradable interior paint that actively helps improve indoor air quality by helping balance humidity, VOCs, odours and CO2 absorption, and helps disinfect the air of pollutants, bacteria, mould and other toxins.

It’s the ideal paint choice for homeowners, schools/daycares, hospitals, and other commercial buildings due to its high pH level and absorption capabilities. This helps prevent the spread of bacteria and viruses, while its anti-static surface reduces the build up of dust & allergens.

EcoVeil All-Natural Purifying Shikkui Paint has a refined mineral finish that transforms walls into softly textured, matte surfaces. Its 17 earth-sourced colours and limestone-inspired texture create depth, warmth, and bring natural elegance to any space.

Made of a highly porous and absorbent mineral which helps it hold and release moisture.

Disinfects the Air:

As the porous surface of Shikkui Paint helps absorb bacteria, viruses, and other toxins, its high alkali properties naturally helps disinfect and creates an inhospitable surface for viruses and bacteria to grow.

Helps absorb VOCs, Odours & CO2:

EcoVeil All-Natural Purifying Shikkui Paint’s porous nature allows it to help absorb VOCs, odours and CO2. Its photocatalytic capabilities actively breaks down VOCs into harmless compounds and neutralizes odours. While its CO2 absorption contributes to its carbonation, creating a durable surface.

All-Natural:

Made from all-natural materials and in a combination that makes it less toxic.

Where to use:

For interior walls and ceilings only, on surfaces that are clean, dry, primed, and properly prepared, including previously painted drywall and plaster. Not suitable for kitchens or bathrooms.

Drying Time:

Touch dry: 30–60 minutes

Remove scuffs with a white eraser or melamine sponge
For stains: sponge clean and repaint

Finish & Colour Variation:

Due to the use of natural seashell ingredients, slight color variations may occur. The finish is lightly textured.

Please read all instructions and warnings before use.

Surface must be clean and dry
Remove wallpaper, peeling paint, and surface gloss
Repair cracks and imperfections
Prime all areas prior to painting. Use ONLY a primer suitable for plaster. Recommended primer: Shikkui Primer or Romabio Ultra Grip recommended.
Use stain-blocking primer on stained surfaces
Use tintable primer for deep or vivid colors

Stir well for 7 - 10 minutes using a mixing paddle.
Let rest for 30 minutes before use
Use a nylon brush for edges and corners
Use a quality medium-nap roller for large areas. Recommended: Wooster Pro Doo-Z roller.
Only use a plastic paint tray. EcoVeil should not sit in a metal tray as it will cause corrosion.
Apply generously from top to bottom
Roll smoothly without pressing too hard
Roller marks will disappear as the paint dries
Apply 2 coats (or 3 for a more textured finish)
Wait 3 hours between coats (longer in high humidity)
Final coat should be applied in a warm, low-humidity environment
Paint ceilings first, then walls
Not suitable for kitchens or bathrooms
Protective gloves, glasses, mask, and clothing are recommended

Clean tools with warm soapy water
Reseal container tightly after use
Store between 5°C - 25°C and in a dry place
EcoVeil is best used in its entirety, as it can lose moisture in storage. If storage is required, make sure container is well sealed and use within 2–3 months.
Do not freeze
Absorb spills using sand or kitty litter
Dispose according to local environmental regulations

First Aid Treatment

Skin: Wash with soap and water. Seek medical advice if irritation occurs.

Eyes: Rinse with running water and seek immediate medical attention.
